Prerequisites |
Authoring: manual and batch image conversion require no special setup. Optional scripting of the Zoomify Converter requires creation of scripts in the scripting language of your choice (ASP, JSP, PHP, etc.). The Zoomify Annotation Viewer is ready to use 'out-of-the-box.' Optional customization of the Viewer's Flash source files requires Adobe Flash editor. |
Publishing: The Zoomify Annotation System can be implemented for viewing without any special server setup. Annotation editing requires setup of a means to save (post) edit data: ASP, PHP, and servlet alternatives are provided. Servlet use would require setup of a third-party servlet container (e.g., JRun, Tomcat). Similarly, optional single-file storage requires setup of the Zoomify Servlet and servlet container. Optional synchronized multi-user viewing requires installation of Adobe Flash Communication Server. |
Viewing: Flash Player v6 or later is used for viewing - over 96% of internet users already have this on their systems |
Licensing: Unlike Zoomify's other products, Zoomifyer Enterprise is licensed per server, as is common for sever-side enterprise products. For detailed information please refer to the Zoomify License Agreement. |
